Another starter from last season’s Memphis basketball team is headed to NBA Summer League.
Former Tigers big man Nick Jourdain will play for the New York Knicks in Las Vegas starting Friday against the Detroit Pistons, the team announced Monday afternoon. Jourdain becomes the third player from Memphis’ 2024-25 roster to ink a summer-league contract this offseason—joining Dain Dainja (Miami Heat) and Moussa Cisse (Dallas Mavericks).
The 6-foot-7 forward averaged 6.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and a block on 54% shooting across two seasons under coach Penny Hardaway. He started all but seven of his 67 career games as a Tiger, and opened all 35 last season.
Jourdain did much of the dirty work throughout Memphis’ best season since 2009, helping the 2024-25 Tigers earn a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament and win both the American Athletic Conference (AAC) regular-season and tournament championships. The Clifton, New Jersey native played his first three college seasons at Temple, where he averaged 5.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 74 contests as an Owl.
All former Tigers on NBA Summer League rosters include Jourdain, Dainja, Cisse, Lester Quinones (New Orleans Pelicans), David Jones (San Antonio Spurs), Landers Nolley II (Philadelphia 76ers), Nae’Qwan Tomlin (Cleveland Cavaliers), Boogie Ellis (Phoenix Suns), Damion Baugh (Charlotte Hornets), Jonathan Pierre (Washington Wizards) and Kaodirichi Akobundu-Ehiogu (Denver Nuggets).
